APÓSTASI (a proximity, insurmountable)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
When Evangelos returns to his hometown to finish out his final year of high school he is forced to confront a long dormant past he had grown to forget while diving in-between concurrent planes of existence in order to unravel a long dormant conspiracy and save not only himself, but others around him.
APÓSTASI (a proximity, insurmountable) is a modern day, turn-based indie RPG set upon the fictional island and town of Asteria, nestled a short ferry ride away from metropolitan Athens and mainland Greece. In a historically shifted world, Asteria became a designated slum for increasing migrant and refugees populations and had spent much of the 20th century in dilapidation before outside influences began funneling capital into the isle and reshaping it.
The year is 2024. Evangelos, having left after an incident nine years ago, moves back to Asteria due to his parent's work. Already a loner and withdrawn, he finds himself slipping away from reality into another, where phantoms of his past begin to crawl back from the depth and events long forgotten arise again.
Along the way, he reunites with Bo-Yeon, a boy whom he was once (and might still yearn to be again) rather close with, and is joined by Aditi, an intelligent (if detached) overachiever living in the shadow of her family, and Mila, a rebellious artist with a bit of a short temper. Together, the four of them are forced together to confront truths long buried and fight to save their friends as the eyes of an insidious anomaly and outside factions slowly turn to them.
